Dr Martina Nieswand has worked at Hepp Wenger Ryffel since 2004. Her main areas of activity are the management of international grant procedures, and opposition and appeal proceedings before the European Patent Office. Further areas in which her activities are focussed are the analysis of the infringement and legal validity of intellectual property rights, as well as the management of litigation. In her advisory work, it is important to her to give clients specific options for action and to provide targeted recommendations that are adapted to the individual situation.
Dr Martina Nieswand also assisted as a co-author on the Patentrechtskommentar (Patent law commentary) by Fitzner/Lutz/Bodewig.
Dr Martina Nieswand undertook a doctorate in theoretical solid-state physics and then completed postgraduate studies in Medical physics and technology. Before she started work at a firm of patent attorneys, she worked for a number of years for a company in the medical technology field. Dr Martina Nieswand is a European and Swiss Patent attorney.
Dr Martina Nieswand is a member of the professional associations VESPA and VPP. She is married and has three children.
